Mutares Sells Automotive Precision Components Maker Walor Precision Turning

Munich – Mutares SE & Co. KGaA announced the completion of its sale of Walor Precision Turning to Reed Capital, an independent investment firm. The transaction involves the company's manufacturing sites located in France, Romania, and Mexico.

Walor Precision Turning specializes in high-precision turned metal components, primarily for automotive passive safety systems such as seatbelt pretensioners and airbag inflators. In 2025, the company reported revenues of approximately €55 million and employs around 400 individuals.

Mutares acquired Walor Precision Turning as a carve-out from the Walor Group in 2023. Since then, the company has undergone operational and financial repositioning, including efforts to strengthen commercial capabilities, improve cost structures, and enhance production efficiency. The business has also diversified into areas like semi-active suspensions and datacenter solutions.

The divestment aligns with Mutares' strategy of developing and repositioning portfolio companies before transferring them to new ownership. With Reed Capital as the new owner, Walor Precision Turning is expected to continue its development in high-precision manufacturing for the automotive, advanced mobility, and industrial technology markets.
