MV-Jäähdytys, a Finnish company specializing in cooling and heat pump systems and a subsidiary of Nordic Climate Group, has agreed to acquire the operations of Lapin Kylmätekniikka in Ylitornio. The acquisition is intended to bolster MV-Jäähdytys's service network in northern Finland.
Lapin Kylmätekniikka, founded in 2019 by Juho Kauvosaari, employs six people and focuses on the installation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment for local businesses, including grocery stores and restaurants. The acquisition will integrate Lapin Kylmätekniikka's local expertise and customer relationships with MV-Jäähdytys's broader resources.
Jyrki Martikainen, CEO of MV-Jäähdytys and Nordic Climate Group Finland, highlighted the value of Lapin Kylmätekniikka's local knowledge. "Together, we can strengthen our service offering in Lapland and provide customers with even better support in installation, maintenance, and technical advice," Martikainen stated. The deal is expected to improve service in a growing tourism region where reliable cooling systems are crucial for businesses.
Juho Kauvosaari, founder of Lapin Kylmätekniikka, expressed optimism about the integration. "As part of MV-Jäähdytys, we gain more colleagues for knowledge exchange and better opportunities to develop our service, while maintaining proximity to our customers," Kauvosaari commented. This acquisition is part of MV-Jäähdytys's ongoing expansion in Finland, which has seen the company establish a presence in several new locations.
Nordic Climate Group, founded in 2021, is a group of experts in sustainable cooling and heating, focusing on energy-efficient installations. The group operates at over 100 locations across eight European countries, employing approximately 2,500 individuals.
