FRITZ! GmbH has released an update for its MyFRITZ!App mobile application, simplifying the setup process for FRITZ!Box routers. The new setup wizard, accessible via smartphone, guides users step-by-step through the entire installation process.
The wizard aims to make the initial FRITZ!Box setup faster and more intuitive using the mobile device's interface. Users download the app, scan the FRITZ!Box's QR code, and the wizard assists with the remaining configuration. This feature is currently available for all FRITZ!Box models connected via DSL and fiber with FRITZ!OS 7.80 or newer. FRITZ! GmbH intends to support additional FRITZ!Box models later this year.
Beyond setup, the MyFRITZ!App continues to offer features such as access to FRITZ!Box's advanced functions, notifications for missed calls and home network events, and call blocking. The company emphasizes user-friendly technology adoption, with this update reinforcing that commitment.
