MyMonthlyCar turns idle car inventory into rental revenue

The startup MyMonthlyCar aims to address the issue of car dealerships having large amounts of inventory sitting idle on their lots, depreciating in value. Founder Igor Dobrianskyi noted that there are 76,000 dealerships in the U.S. with millions of cars remaining stationary.

Simultaneously, many consumers require a car for a short period, a few months, but find rental options limited and expensive. MyMonthlyCar's online platform connects these two groups by offering flexible, month-to-month car rentals sourced from local dealerships.

The platform's goal is to provide dealerships with a new revenue stream from their unused stock while offering consumers easy and affordable access to a vehicle when needed. MyMonthlyCar was featured in the 2026 Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt in October 2026.

This service offers an alternative to traditional long-term leases or costly short-term rentals, allowing consumers flexibility without long-term commitment and dealerships an additional income source.
