N5X selects Vermiculus for Brazil's first regulated energy derivatives clearinghouse
N5X has selected Vermiculus to deliver its cloud-based VeriClear system for Brazil's first regulated energy derivatives clearinghouse.

N5X, the future Brazilian energy derivatives clearing house, has chosen Vermiculus to provide its cloud-native VeriClear clearing system.
The selection will enable N5X to establish Brazil's first true central counterparty (CCP) for energy derivatives. The system will grant the company full control over clearing operations and risk management. It is also expected to accelerate the time-to-market for new energy derivative products and build a scalable foundation for regional growth.
Vermiculus is an independent provider of market infrastructure technology for clearing, trading, and CSD operations. The implementation of VeriClear is a key step in N5X's plans to establish a regulated marketplace for energy derivatives in Brazil.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The contract supports N5X's objective to integrate and standardize the energy derivatives markets within Brazil.
