Nano-core Chip secures over RMB 1 billion in Series C2 funding
Hangzhou-based AI inference chip developer Nano-core Chip has raised over RMB 1 billion to scale product development and prepare for mass production.

Nano-core Chip, an AI inference chip developer based in Hangzhou, announced on October 28 that it has raised more than RMB 1 billion in a Series C2 funding round. The investment was led by JianTou Investment, with participation from Hangzhou Capital and Kaitai Capital.
Founded in 2021 and incubated at a Peking University research facility, the firm focuses on developing chips that utilize 3D near-memory computing, in-memory computing, and RISC-V processing. Its product roadmap spans both cloud infrastructure and edge devices.
The company intends to utilize the capital to accelerate its product development and establish capacity for volume production. Following a previous RMB 1 billion Series C1 round in September, the company reported that its first three chip designs have cleared the tape-out stage, with initial shipments scheduled for early 2027.
