Biotechnology company Nanobiotix announced updates to its JNJ-1900 (NBTXR3) clinical development program. The company has completed the transfer of sponsorship and operational control of the Phase 3 NANORAY-312 study, focused on head and neck cancer, to Johnson & Johnson (J&J) in most regions.

Following Nanobiotix's analysis of the latest information, interim data from the NANORAY-312 trial is now estimated to be analyzed and reported in the first half of 2027. Johnson & Johnson will provide future guidance on NANORAY-312 and other J&J-sponsored studies involving JNJ-1900 (NBTXR3). Nanobiotix will continue to provide updates on its own sponsored studies and those sponsored by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

JNJ-1900 (NBTXR3) is a physics-based oncology drug candidate composed of functionalized hafnium oxide nanoparticles. It is administered as a single intratumoral injection and activated by radiotherapy. Nanobiotix believes its mechanism of action allows it to be scalable across any solid tumor treatable with radiotherapy and in combination with other therapies, particularly immune checkpoint inhibitors.

The company has previously engaged in strategic collaborations to expand the development of NBTXR3, including a research collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center and a global co-development and commercialization license agreement with Johnson & Johnson.
