Napo Pet Insurance Targets Growth in Emerging Markets
Pet insurer Napo sees significant growth potential in the globally expanding pet industry, with market value projected to double by 2030.

Pet insurer Napo is positioning itself for significant growth by capitalizing on the expanding global pet industry. CEO Jean-Philippe Doumeng stated that the market's value is expected to increase from approximately £20 billion today to roughly £40 billion by 2030.
Doumeng highlighted that the pet insurance sector remains nascent in most major markets, including the US and much of Europe, with penetration rates below 5%. The UK, Napo's operational base, is a more mature market at around 35% penetration, yet it still experiences over 20% year-over-year growth.
Napo's strategy focuses on leveraging this developing, formative market. The rapid expansion and low penetration in many regions present opportunities for new entrants, differing from saturated and highly competitive sectors.
The company aims to establish itself within this evolving landscape to address the growing needs of pet owners facing rising veterinary care costs.
