Narda Safety Test Solutions enhances SignalShark antenna capabilities
Narda Safety Test Solutions has upgraded its range of automatic antennas and expanded the SignalShark frequency spectrum coverage up to 26.5 GHz.
Narda Safety Test Solutions is refining the signal detection capabilities of its SignalShark receiver platform by improving the precision and speed of its automatic antenna systems. The updated hardware is designed to maintain high accuracy and reliability in signal direction finding, particularly in environments prone to signal reflections.
The system is capable of detecting short-duration signals as brief as 2.5 milliseconds. By incorporating an omnidirectional reference antenna and elevation measurement, the antennas provide stable data even when positioned in close proximity to the signal source, facilitating more precise localization in complex electromagnetic settings.
Additionally, the company has introduced a new DF (direction finding) downconverter antenna that extends the operational frequency range of the SignalShark up to 26.5 GHz. By consolidating multiple frequency bands into one compact unit with an integrated low-noise amplifier (LNA), the system reduces the need for frequent equipment changes during field operations.
These advancements are intended for professional applications in spectrum monitoring, interference hunting, and electronic warfare. The integration of these tools into the SignalShark ecosystem aims to streamline data acquisition for users involved in tactical spectrum awareness and satellite communications.
