Naruto Mobile Game to Launch Globally
Bandai Namco and Tencent announced the global release of the Naruto mobile game. The game was originally launched in China in 2016.
New York – Bandai Namco and Tencent jointly announced the global release of the Naruto mobile game, developed by Tencent's Cube studio, during New York Comic Con on October 11.
The game, licensed by Bandai Namco and developed by Tencent, first launched in mainland China in May 2016 for iOS and Android platforms. This international expansion is part of Bandai Namco's multi-year "Rasengan Project," aimed at expanding the Naruto IP's global influence from 2027 to 2029.
The Naruto mobile game features anime-style ninja combat, flashy special moves, and fast-paced battles, allowing players to collect and use numerous classic ninja characters from the series. The global launch follows more than a decade after the game's initial release in China.
Beyond the mobile game, the "Rasengan Project" also includes a four-part limited animation in collaboration with "Ninku," a new manga titled "NARUTO Shadow Rising" by original author Masashi Kishimoto, and a Naruto collectible card game slated for global release in June 2027. A specific release date for the international version of the mobile game has not yet been disclosed, with further details expected at Jump Festa 2027 in December 2026.
