National Poll: Americans Support Legal Access to Peptides
A new national survey indicates a significant majority of Americans favor obtaining peptides through U.S. pharmacies with a doctor's prescription.
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – A national survey conducted in May 2026 found that 52% of American adults wish to obtain peptides through a U.S. pharmacy with a doctor's prescription. Only 3% oppose this, while 45% remain undecided.
The poll, conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy and commissioned by Peppies.com, was released one day before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) advisory committee convenes to consider the potential for seven peptides to regain a lawful compounding pathway.
The research revealed broad support for a preventive, patient-first approach to healthcare. 60% believe the U.S. healthcare system should prioritize preventing illness, and 54% think decisions on legalizing medications should be based on patient health outcomes.
The findings come as the FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee is set to meet to review several peptides. Ken Underwood, founder of Peppies.com, stated that Americans are requesting safe access to peptides, clearly through U.S. pharmacies and trusted prescriptions, and that the FDA has a role in making this legally possible.
