National Solar Tour to Showcase Solar Installations This Weekend

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is inviting the public to its National Solar Tour Showcase Weekend, scheduled for October 2-4. Now in its 31st year, the event aims to provide firsthand views of solar energy applications. Hundreds of sites across the United States, including residential rooftop systems, community solar gardens, and net-zero homes, will be open for exploration.

The tour will feature both physical and virtual components. In-person attendees can visit host sites to observe solar panels, battery storage systems, and energy-efficient home features up close. Participants will also have the opportunity to speak directly with homeowners, installers, and solar advocates about their experiences.

For those unable to attend physically, virtual tours will be available, offering a way to explore participating locations through photos, videos, and live question-and-answer sessions. ASES highlights the event as a chance to see solar energy in action and ask questions within one's own community.
