Native Sons of the Golden West Funds Napa Valley College Scholarship Perpetually
The Native Sons of the Golden West Napa Parlor #62 has donated $18,000 to the Napa Valley College Foundation, fully funding the George + Kin's and Charlie Monahan Career Education Scholarship in perpetuity for future students.
Napa, Calif. – The Native Sons of the Golden West, Napa Parlor #62, has committed $18,000 to the Napa Valley College Foundation to permanently endow the George + Kin's and Charlie Monahan Career Education Scholarship. The contribution will ensure ongoing support for students pursuing career training in fields like culinary arts, business, and hospitality.
The funds were formally presented on June 24th. This donation helped close the final funding gap for the scholarship, which was a collaborative effort involving George + Kin's Diner and the NSGW Napa Hall Association. The Napa Valley College Foundation also contributed through community gift card sales.
Marcia Skelton, Membership Chair for the Native Sons of the Golden West, stated that the contribution reflects the organization's core values. "Supporting Napa Valley College students as they build their futures is exactly the kind of work that makes us proud to serve," Skelton said.
