Natural raises $30M to reinvent payments for AI agents

Artificial intelligence agents are increasingly capable of complex tasks, including vendor identification and price comparison. However, completing payments for these agents still requires human intervention, as current financial systems are designed for human-initiated transactions.

The startup Natural is working to solve this challenge by fundamentally redesigning payment infrastructure. The company announced it has raised $30 million in funding to support its ambitious plan, which positions it to directly challenge major payment processors such as Stripe.

Natural's co-founder and CEO, Kahlil Lalji, identified that existing financial architecture cannot support autonomous AI agent transactions, such as automatic vendor payments or inter-agent commerce. Natural intends to build new financial rails specifically engineered for AI agents.

The new capital will enable Natural to scale its operations and enhance its competitive standing in the financial transaction market. The company's objective is to establish more efficient and automated payment processes as the AI economy continues to expand.
