Indian AI startup Navana.ai has secured ₹40 crore (approximately $4.2 million) in a Series A funding round, led by existing investor Ronnie Screwvala.
The funds are earmarked for scaling Navana.ai's voice AI platform deployment, especially within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. Additional capital will bolster speech models for Indian languages and dialects, and accelerate the development of its AI Contact Centre and automated evaluation platforms.
Founded in 2018, Navana.ai offers a full-stack voice AI platform enabling enterprises to deploy voice agents, transcription systems, and real-time analytics at scale. The company has developed proprietary speech models supporting 12 Indian languages and 45 dialects.
The startup has processed over 100 million voice AI minutes for clients in the BFSI sector, including Bajaj Finserv and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. Navana.ai emphasizes its platform's ability to meet local data localization and regulatory compliance needs.
This investment arrives as Indian startups increasingly explore voice AI to extend digital services beyond English-speaking and digitally literate users. The sector has seen other significant funding rounds recently.
