NBA 2K27 to be released September 4, Wembanyama featured on standard edition cover

2K Games has announced that its basketball simulation title, NBA 2K27, will be released globally on September 4. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and for PC via Steam.

Victor Wembanyama, the recent NBA Defensive Player of the Year, will be featured on the cover of the standard edition of NBA 2K27. Caitlin Clark will be the cover athlete for the "Deluxe" edition, and Derrick Rose will be featured on the "Hall of Fame" edition. Players who pre-order the "Hall of Fame" or "Deluxe" editions will gain early access to the game up to seven days prior to the official launch.

The game will be priced starting at $69.99 internationally. The price for the Chinese Steam version has not yet been announced, but as a reference, the standard edition of the previous title, NBA 2K26, was priced at 298 yuan in China.

The NBA 2K series continues to be a dominant force in sports video games, known for its detailed player likenesses and immersive gameplay that simulates the professional basketball league.
