NBCUniversal to Embed Peacock Content in YouTube Premium
NBCUniversal and YouTube have agreed to a multiyear deal that will bring content from the Peacock streaming service to YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S. starting in early 2027.

NBCUniversal and YouTube have finalized a multiyear agreement that will integrate content from the Peacock streaming service directly into the YouTube Premium platform for U.S. users, beginning in early 2027.
The partnership will provide YouTube Premium subscribers access to all of Peacock's offerings, including live sports like the NFL and NBA, Universal Pictures films, and original series from networks such as Bravo. This integration aims to streamline content access for consumers by allowing them to view Peacock content without leaving the YouTube interface.
The deal emerges amid a rapidly evolving media landscape. Traditional media companies, including Comcast-owned NBCUniversal, are actively seeking new revenue streams and profitability improvements. This move occurs as tech platforms like YouTube and TikTok capture an increasing share of viewer attention, and consumers continue to shift away from traditional pay-TV bundles in favor of streaming services.
YouTube Premium boasts over 125 million global members. NBCUniversal recently reported that Peacock reached 48 million paying subscribers as of June 30 and achieved profitability for the first time in the most recent quarter. This collaboration represents a strategic effort by both companies to expand their reach and enhance content accessibility in the competitive streaming market.
