NCC divests Industry business area for SEK 8.2 billion

Construction company NCC has agreed to sell its Industry business area, encompassing stone materials and asphalt operations, for an enterprise value of SEK 8.2 billion. The transaction is part of a strategic review aimed at sharpening NCC's focus on its core contracting activities.

The divestment will be made to two industrial buyers, a move NCC believes will create the greatest long-term value for both the seller and the divested operations. NCC Industry reported sales of SEK 12.6 billion and an operating profit of SEK 879 million in 2025. The sale is expected to generate a positive cash flow impact of approximately SEK 7 billion for NCC.

"This transaction marks an important milestone for both NCC and Industry," said Tomas Carlsson, President and CEO of NCC. "For NCC, the transaction creates a more focused contracting company with greater opportunities to deliver long-term value. The divestment reduces NCC’s capital intensity, unlocks significant capital and strengthens our financial flexibility."

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is anticipated to be completed in the second half of 2027. Until then, NCC will continue to recognize the earnings of the Industry business. The business will be reported as discontinued operations from the third quarter of 2026. SEB Corporate Finance acted as NCC's financial advisor.
