NCC Project Manager Shares Experience on Eskilstuna Hospital Project

Stockholm – Andrea Angestav, production project manager at NCC, has been part of the E62 Mälarsjukhuset project in Eskilstuna since 2021, initially serving as Site Manager before taking on her current role. Her responsibilities include ensuring the project is delivered as planned, meets expectations, and maintains its cash flow.

The project, which involves constructing a hospital, has seen up to 400 people on-site at its peak. Angestav emphasizes a proactive management approach, regular site presence, and a strict zero-tolerance policy for accidents. As BAS-U, she carries personal responsibility for the work environment, ensuring all personnel return home safely.

Working on the hospital expansion in her hometown of Eskilstuna adds significant personal meaning to Angestav's role. The immediate focus is on completing the project on schedule for its handover this autumn, aiming to satisfy the client and potentially foster future collaborations.

Following this project, Angestav intends to continue working on large-scale projects that allow for strategic planning and cross-disciplinary teamwork. She finds that such projects offer the necessary challenge and opportunities for developing improved work methods, stating that smaller projects would not provide the same level of engagement.
