Construction company NCC reported a decline in earnings for the first quarter of 2026. The company's net sales amounted to SEK 9.65 billion, a decrease from SEK 11.077 billion in the same period last year. The operating loss was SEK 237 million, compared to a loss of SEK 170 million in the first quarter of 2025. CEO Tomas Carlsson stated that the results reflect seasonal variations and a colder-than-usual winter.

Despite the revenue decrease, orders received grew to SEK 14.751 billion, up from SEK 14.002 billion in the prior year. This growth was particularly noted in the construction and civil engineering segments, as well as in stone and asphalt operations. Demand in NCC's prioritized segments remained robust.

The Industry business area was impacted by seasonal factors and the cold winter, leading to a weaker performance in that division. The company's board has proposed a dividend of SEK 9.00 per share and an extra dividend of SEK 2.00 per share at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

NCC is one of the leading construction companies in the Nordics. The company is involved in building and infrastructure projects, production of asphalt and stone materials, and commercial property development. NCC's shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
