NCC secures SEK 260 million contract for Pori data center site preparation

NCC will lead the preparatory phase for a planned data center project located in the Pori Copper Industrial Park. The contract covers critical site work, including road construction for site access, pile driving, and earth excavation, following an extended collaborative development phase between NCC and project stakeholders.

The project is scheduled to commence in the autumn of 2026, with an expected completion date in the spring of 2027. This contract focuses exclusively on site preparation; the subsequent construction of the data center facility itself will be addressed through a separate procurement process.

The order, valued at approximately SEK 260 million, will be registered in the NCC Building Nordics business area in the fourth quarter of 2026. According to Catarina Molén-Runnäs, Head of NCC Building Nordics, the firm has spent significant time in project development, and this agreement serves as a necessary step toward the site’s realization.

This project represents ongoing activity in the Nordic data center market, where industrial infrastructure development continues to draw significant construction investment.
