NCC to build regiment base in Kristinehamn

NCC has begun a project to construct a new regiment base in the Harberget area of Kristinehamn, Sweden, in collaboration with the Swedish Fortifications Agency. The initial phase will focus on project planning, including the development of construction blueprints, cost estimates, and budget allocation for various contract components.

The facility is intended for basic military training and is expected to accommodate approximately 350 military personnel and 250 conscripts upon completion. The project encompasses a 211-hectare site featuring around 40 buildings and will involve extensive earthworks and ground preparation.

In the summer, the Swedish government approved the construction of the Bergslagen Artillery Regiment A9 base in Kristinehamn, with an approved cost not exceeding approximately SEK 6.5 billion. NCC has a documented history of successfully completing construction projects, including those for defense activities and other critical infrastructure that require rigorous planning, coordination, and management of sensitive information.

Construction contracts are scheduled to be signed during the project's next phase, prior to the commencement of production work. NCC is one of the Nordic region's leading construction companies, specializing in managing complex construction processes for both building and infrastructure projects.
