NCC to construct Framnäsbadet swim center in Lidköping
NCC has finalized plans to construct a new swim center in Lidköping, Sweden, valued at SEK 680 million. Construction begins in late 2026 with completion set for 2029.

Construction firm NCC is set to build a new aquatic facility, Framnäsbadet, in Lidköping after concluding the design phase with local municipal authorities. The project aims to replace an aging facility originally constructed in the 1970s.
The new three-story building will feature an eight-lane 25-meter lap pool, two multifunction pools with adjustable flooring, a dedicated diving pool, and family-oriented amenities. The contract also includes an option to add an outdoor pool to the site, which serves as a central component of the ongoing development in the Framnäs district.
Production is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026, with handover expected by the end of 2029. This project adds to NCC’s current portfolio of nine ongoing swim center developments across Sweden.
