NCC to construct residential care facility in Turku

Construction company NCC has received an order to build a new residential care facility in Turku's Herttuankulma district. The facility will span approximately 4,600 square meters and accommodate 114 care places. The total value of the order is approximately SEK 150 million.

The project aims for BREEAM Excellent environmental certification, incorporating construction materials with low climate impact, renewable energy, and smart energy management solutions. Design considerations focused on accessibility, community, and living comfort.

This project is the outcome of a long-term development process involving NCC, property owners, and facility operators. Esa Lehmusvuori, Business Manager at NCC Building Nordics, stated that the project exemplifies how to create high-quality care facilities in growing urban areas through long-term project development.

Construction is scheduled to commence in September 2026, with completion anticipated in Spring 2028. The order will be registered within NCC's Building Nordics business area in the third quarter of 2026.
