NCC to construct Stiklestad National Cultural Center
NCC has signed a contract worth approximately SEK 215 million for the renovation and expansion of the Stiklestad cultural facilities in Norway.

NCC has secured a turnkey contract to renovate existing buildings and construct new cultural and museum facilities at the Stiklestad National Cultural Center in Norway. The project includes the development of climate-controlled museum storage designed to meet specific security and preservation requirements for historical textiles.
The agreement follows an early-phase collaboration between NCC and the client, Museene Arven. Eivind Svarva, Department Manager at NCC Building Nordics, noted that the project requires specialized expertise in complex refurbishment and technical execution. According to Heidi Anett Øvergård Beistad, Director of Museene Arven, the construction is a key component of the site’s development leading up to its upcoming millennium anniversary.
The project is valued at approximately SEK 215 million and will be registered in the NCC Building Nordics order backlog in the fourth quarter of 2026. Construction is scheduled to commence in the autumn of 2026, with completion expected in 2028.
