Construction company NCC will build a new leisure facility in Örkelljunga, Sweden. The project includes a swim center and a six-lane bowling alley, which will be integrated with the municipality's existing Forum sports hall. The aim is to promote public health and provide residents with new opportunities for physical activity and social interaction.

The swim center will feature a 25-meter pool, a multipurpose pool with an adjustable floor for rehabilitation and play, a children's pool, a heated pool, and a sauna. The bowling alley will have six lanes and spectator seating. The facility will be located adjacent to Ljunga School, which NCC recently completed. A café will also be part of the new building.

NCC and Örkelljunga Municipality have focused on energy-efficient solutions and the selection of durable materials to ensure the facility's longevity and reduce operating costs. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with completion expected in early 2029.

The order value is approximately SEK 250 million and will be registered in the NCC Building Sweden business area in the fourth quarter of 2026. NCC highlights the technical complexity of swim center construction and plans to leverage its experience in similar projects across Sweden.
