NCC to remodel water treatment plant in Falkenberg, Sweden
NCC has secured a contract to remodel the Kärreberg water treatment plant in Falkenberg, Sweden. The project includes constructing a new transfer pipeline and demolishing parts of the old facility.
Construction company NCC has signed a contract with Falkenberg Municipality to remodel the Kärreberg water treatment plant. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 220 million.
The project scope includes the construction of a new two-kilometer transfer pipeline, as well as remodeling work at the treatment plant itself. Parts of the existing, older waterworks will also be demolished. NCC stated it possesses extensive experience in similar advanced water and wastewater plant projects.
Work is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and is expected to be completed by autumn 2029. The order value will be registered within NCC's Infrastructure business area in the second quarter of 2026.
