NCS Analytics Partners with Cannabiz Credit Association for Cannabis Lending Data

NCS Analytics, a firm specializing in data analytics for high-risk industries, has announced an exclusive partnership with Cannabiz Credit Association (CCA), the cannabis sector's first dedicated credit reporting bureau. CCA maintains a database of over $3.7 billion in verified payment data.

Under the agreement, CCA's data will be integrated into NCS's platforms, including NCS Thea, a lending intelligence tool for financial institutions and capital providers funding licensed cannabis businesses. This collaboration seeks to improve lending decisions and mitigate risks in an industry that has historically lacked robust credit assessment resources.

"Better data solves most of the problems facing cannabis lenders, starting with whether a business actually pays what it owes," stated Adam Crabtree, founder and CEO of NCS Analytics. "CCA's payment intelligence can now help uncover potential risk and give NCS Thea users a clearer picture of a borrower's credit behavior."

Collections represent a significant challenge in the cannabis industry, and CCA tracks payment history at the license level. Integrating this data into the NCS Platform will serve as an early warning system, offering lenders a more comprehensive view of a business's financial health by combining operational data with payment behavior analysis.

CCA's data will become available to NCS customers in the fall of 2026, with the partnership aiming to foster a more reliable and secure financing environment within the expanding cannabis market.
