NDR Presents New Programs in its Media Libraries

Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) has announced the addition of two new programs to its streaming offerings. The releases include the series "The Danish Woman" and the French comedy film "Das Beste kommt noch."

"The Danish Woman," available on arte.tv until April 28, 2026, follows Ditte Jensen, a former Danish elite soldier who has retired to Reykjavik. The series explores her struggle to adapt to a quiet life as she finds herself intervening in neighborhood disputes with her unique sense of justice.

The film "Das Beste kommt noch," accessible via ARD Mediathek until March 2, 2026, is a French comedy about two disparate friends, a terminal illness, and a list of wishes to fulfill. It charts the journey of Arthur and César as they navigate life and mortality with a blend of humor and pathos.

"The Danish Woman" features Trine Dyrholm in the title role, portraying the character's complex transition from soldier to neighbor. The narrative delves into her often questionable yet amusing methods of resolving conflicts within her community.

Starring Fabrice Luchini and Patrick Bruel, "Das Beste kommt noch" offers a tragicomic yet uplifting viewing experience, examining friendship and life's final chapters. The film has been lauded for its fresh take on familiar themes.
