Nebius Acquires Israeli AI Startup Inferize to Optimize GPU Usage
Nasdaq-listed AI cloud company Nebius has acquired Israeli startup Inferize. The deal focuses on software designed to reduce idle GPU costs across AI inference workloads.

Nebius, a Nasdaq-listed AI cloud company, has acquired Israeli startup Inferize. The acquisition aims to improve graphics processing unit (GPU) utilization for AI inference workloads by reducing idle capacity during demand shifts.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is estimated to be between $100 million and $150 million. Inferize's technology is designed to enhance GPU efficiency during inference by minimizing idle capacity, particularly when model weights need loading or customer demand fluctuates.
Inferize was founded in early 2026 by Guy Bortnikov and Lior Gorbonos, who were part of the founding team of Granulate, an Israeli computing infrastructure optimization company acquired by Intel in 2022. The startup operated in stealth mode and employed 17 people.
The acquisition follows Nebius's February agreement to purchase Israeli startup Tavily for an initial $275 million. Nebius stated that the Tavily acquisition would add agentic search capabilities to its AI cloud platform.
