NECPC has launched the LAVIE BT53C, a Windows-powered tablet designed for commercial use, in Japan. The device is set to be available by the end of September, with a starting price of 611,600 yen, which translates to roughly $2,600 USD based on current exchange rates.

The LAVIE BT53C features a 13-inch 3:2 aspect ratio IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 2880x1920 and a brightness of 500 nits. It offers a choice of Intel Core Ultra 7 (365/355) or Ultra 5 (332) processors, paired with 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

Measuring 290x210x9.3mm and weighing approximately 866 grams, the tablet is similar in size to an A4 sheet of paper. It supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and offers optional 5G cellular support. The device includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 5MP front-facing camera, and an 8MP rear camera.

An available keyboard accessory attaches via pogo-pin connectors and includes a built-in silo for a digital pen that supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. NECPC is positioning the LAVIE BT53C as a versatile computing solution for business professionals.
