NEDHSA Launches Regional Mobile Crisis System in Northeast Louisiana
Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NEDHSA) and Growing Hope Recovery have launched the Region 8 Mobile Crisis Partnership, Northeast Louisiana's first integrated regional mobile crisis system for behavioral health.

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NEDHSA) and Growing Hope Recovery have established the Region 8 Mobile Crisis Partnership, an integrated regional mobile crisis system serving twelve parishes in Northeast Louisiana. The initiative aims to provide immediate, community-based behavioral health interventions for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises.
NEDHSA will oversee executive leadership, federal and state compliance, and strategic planning for the system. Growing Hope Recovery will operate the mobile crisis response teams, deploying trained professionals to provide in-person assistance. This model seeks to reduce reliance on emergency departments, ambulance services, and law enforcement for mental health emergencies.
"This is the creation of an entirely new behavioral health infrastructure for Northeast Louisiana," stated Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, Executive Director of NEDHSA. "Individuals will now receive timely, compassionate, community-based care from trained crisis professionals."
Cecilia Sullivan, founder of Growing Hope, highlighted the partnership's collaborative nature. "Recovery begins with collaboration," she said. "We are honored to stand alongside NEDHSA to strengthen the continuum of care for the communities we serve."
The program is intended to serve as a model for other regions in Louisiana. It will coordinate with insurers, hospitals, law enforcement, and other community partners to ensure individuals in crisis receive appropriate care.
