Norwegian hydrogen technology company Nel ASA announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Nel Hydrogen US, has received a purchase order valued at approximately USD 12 million. The order includes multiple containerized MC-series PEM electrolyzer units and related services from an undisclosed global technology company based in the United States.
The equipment is scheduled for delivery in 2027 and will be manufactured at Nel's facility in Wallingford, Connecticut. The company states that its containerized MC-series PEM electrolyzers are designed for scalable, reliable, and efficient on-site hydrogen production, with a modular design enabling flexible deployment for various applications.
According to Nel, the order underscores the maturity and reliability of its MC-series technology, particularly its suitability for demanding technology environments where performance and swift installation are critical. The containerized format facilitates faster integration in such settings.
