Nel ASA Signs Framework Agreement with Hydrasun for European PEM Electrolyser Integration
Nel ASA has entered into a framework agreement with Hydrasun to establish dedicated assembly and integration capabilities for its PEM electrolyser solutions in Europe. This partnership expands Nel's delivery capacity for the European market.

Norwegian hydrogen technology company Nel ASA has signed a framework agreement with Scottish firm Hydrasun. The partnership aims to establish dedicated assembly and integration capabilities in Europe for Nel's MC Series, a modular and scalable PEM electrolyser technology platform.
Through this collaboration, Nel gains an experienced integration partner in Europe, complementing its existing integration setup in the United States. This move is expected to broaden Nel's delivery capabilities for the European market, which is increasingly important as the hydrogen economy develops.
Nel's production of PEM cells will continue at the company's facility in Wallingford, Connecticut, USA. Hydrasun will develop its production capabilities in accordance with the agreement.
The technology relies on proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis, considered a key technology for green hydrogen production. The agreement strengthens Nel's position in the European market and addresses the growing demand for hydrogen produced from renewable energy sources.
