Neros secures $450 million loan commitment to expand drone manufacturing
The Office of Strategic Capital has issued a $450 million conditional loan commitment to Neros to help scale domestic drone production capacity.

California-based drone manufacturer Neros has received a $450 million conditional loan commitment from the U.S. government's Office of Strategic Capital (OSC). The funding, combined with a $165 million equity commitment from Neros, brings the total capital dedicated to the project to $615 million.
The investment aims to accelerate the company’s plans to build a vertically integrated domestic industrial base for drone technology. Neros CEO Soren Monroe-Anderson stated that the company intends to reach a production capacity of one million drones per year by 2028, focusing on long-range strike capabilities, interceptors, and close-quarters combat systems.
This move aligns with broader efforts to onshore supply chains for critical defense technologies. By investing in large-scale production facilities and internal component manufacturing, the company seeks to address the logistical requirements for sustaining high-volume drone deployment.
