Neste Corporation, a producer of renewable fuels, has acquired 100 percent of the Dutch Count Companies BV's Count Terminal Rotterdam BV and its supporting entities. The transaction was signed and closed on May 7, 2020.
The acquisition strengthens Neste's strategy to build a global platform for renewable waste and residue raw materials. The Rotterdam-based terminal will be Neste's first owned terminal facility for renewable feedstock aggregation, enabling the company to further develop its raw material logistics for the future and enhance its competitiveness in the global market.
Neste has had a long-standing collaboration with Count Terminal Rotterdam. The company also operates a significant renewable fuels refinery in Rotterdam, one of the world's largest and most advanced. Neste's operations in the Netherlands began in 2011.
