Neste and United Airlines extend sustainable aviation fuel supply agreements
Neste Oyj has extended its agreement with United Airlines for the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the US and the Netherlands. The deal covers deliveries to Chicago O'Hare and Amsterdam Schiphol airports.

Neste Oyj has extended its existing agreement with United Airlines for the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The renewed contract expands deliveries to Chicago O'Hare International Airport in the United States and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands.
Deliveries of Neste's SAF to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol began in June 2026 and are scheduled to continue through August 2026. For Chicago O'Hare, deliveries commenced in July 2026 and are planned to run until June 2027. Under the agreement, Neste will supply Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel™, blended with conventional jet fuel.
United Airlines was the first airline globally to operate flights using blended SAF. The airline significantly increased its SAF usage in 2025 and has expanded its use to six of its seven domestic hubs. Chicago O'Hare, United's largest hub, has been a key location for scaling SAF adoption.
Neste aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from aviation through SAF. The company's current SAF production capacity stands at 1.5 million metric tons annually, with expectations to grow to 2.2 million metric tons by 2027 following the completion of its Rotterdam refinery expansion. Neste's SAF is produced from renewable raw materials such as used cooking oil and animal fat waste.
