Neste assists in connecting Finnish and Estonian gas grids
Neste Engineering Solutions served as a project management partner for the Baltic Connector gas pipeline project, connecting the gas networks of Finland and Estonia.

Neste Oyj's subsidiary, Neste Engineering Solutions, played a key role in the Baltic Connector project, which links the gas grids of Finland and Estonia. The project aims to enhance regional energy security and integrate with the European Union's common energy market.
The Baltic Connector pipeline is a 150-kilometer bidirectional natural gas transmission line, with 80 kilometers running offshore between Paldiski in Estonia and Inkoo in Finland. The project also included onshore gas pipelines in both countries, a gas metering station, and two compressor stations.
Neste Engineering Solutions was selected as the project management services partner in 2016. The company was responsible for building the entire natural gas infrastructure in Finland. Neste's prior experience in the hydrocarbon and bio industries, including several LNG terminal projects, made them a suitable partner for this demanding undertaking.
The project successfully integrated the pipeline into existing infrastructure and was delivered within budget and on schedule. Upon completion, the Baltic Connector gas pipeline will have a transfer capacity of 7.2 million cubic meters of gas per day, increasing service reliability and energy security across the region.
