Neste delivers renewable diesel to Singapore's marine sector

Neste Oyj, in collaboration with KPI OceanConnect and Global Energy, has completed the first delivery of Neste MY Renewable Diesel to the marine sector in Singapore. This initiative signifies the initial supply of renewable diesel to marine industry players, including cruise ships, operating in Singaporean waters.

Neste MY Renewable Diesel is produced entirely from renewable raw materials and is designed as a direct substitute for fossil diesel. It is compatible with all diesel engines without requiring modifications to engines or fuel distribution infrastructure. Its use can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% over its lifecycle compared to conventional diesel.

Neste highlighted that this delivery represents a significant milestone for the industry, demonstrating the product's versatility across various applications. A representative from KPI OceanConnect emphasized that the partnership enables clients to lower their carbon footprint and meet environmental objectives.

Global Energy underscored the importance of seamless and reliable delivery for the sector's transition without compromising operational efficiency. This collaboration establishes a precedent for the marine industry to adopt more sustainable fuel solutions.
