Neste expands renewable diesel distribution network in California

Neste Corporation has expanded its footprint in California by opening three new fueling stations dedicated to commercial fleet vehicles. Located in San Jose, Keyes, and Ripon, the new sites join an existing location in San Leandro that began operations earlier this year.

The fuel, branded as Neste MY Renewable Diesel, is derived from renewable raw materials and residues. The company states that the product can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 percent compared to conventional fossil diesel. As a drop-in fuel, it requires no engine or infrastructure modifications, allowing fleet operators to switch without additional capital expenditure.

To manage these locations, Neste is partnering with authorized distributors Western States Oil and Van De Pol Petroleum. According to Neste, the four sites have facilitated an estimated reduction of 79,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions since the inception of the program. The expansion is part of a broader strategy to increase the accessibility of low-carbon fuels in the regional transportation market.
