Neste Achieves Stronger 2025 Performance Through Profit Improvement Program

Neste Oyj has announced its 2025 financial results, indicating a substantial strengthening of the company's performance compared to the prior year. Despite challenges at the beginning of the year, the company's comprehensive profit improvement program and strict capital discipline yielded positive outcomes, surpassing initial operational profit targets.

The company's comparable operating profit for the full year rose to 1,683 million euros, up from 1,252 million euros in the previous year. The profit improvement program contributed 376 million euros to operational profit, exceeding the initial target of 350 million euros eight months ahead of schedule. Cash flow before financing items stood at 759 million euros, driven by improved business operations, diligent working capital management, and the successful execution of the program. The debt-to-equity ratio decreased to 34.3 percent.

In the renewables segment, the comparable sales margin was 411 dollars per ton, and comparable operating profit increased to 764 million euros. Sales volumes grew to 4.1 million tons. For the oil products segment, the total refining margin was 14.0 dollars per barrel, with comparable operating profit at 808 million euros. During the fourth quarter, the refining margin for oil products reached 20.7 dollars per barrel, and the utilization rate at the Porvoo refinery was 90 percent.

Neste's strategic investment project in Rotterdam proceeded as planned. Upon completion, the refinery will increase the company's annual nameplate capacity for renewable products to 6.8 million tons. The board of directors has proposed a dividend of 0.20 euros per share for 2025, unchanged from the previous year.
