Neste Jacobs to lead construction of LNG station for Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta
Engineering firm Neste Jacobs has been contracted to design and manage the construction of a new liquefied natural gas facility for Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta.

Neste Jacobs Oy has been selected as the EPCM contractor for a new LNG station at the Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta site in Finland. The contract covers project management, engineering, procurement, and construction services, with operations directed from Neste Jacobs' office in Turku.
The facility, which will feature a storage capacity of 300 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas, is scheduled for completion between 2014 and 2015. The gas is intended for use in the plant’s hydrogen production processes and as a secondary fuel for its pellet boiler facility.
Management from both companies noted that the project aims to leverage specialized engineering capabilities within the gas sector. For Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta, the installation represents an upgrade to their existing energy and production infrastructure.
