Neste to supply sustainable aviation fuel to DHL Express at Singapore Changi Airport
Neste will provide 7,400 tons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to DHL Express for flights departing from Singapore Changi Airport between July 2025 and June 2026.

Neste and DHL Express have entered an agreement to supply 7,400 tons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to DHL’s international cargo operations at Singapore Changi Airport. The one-year contract, beginning in July 2025, represents one of the largest SAF agreements in the Asian air cargo market to date.
The fuel, produced at Neste’s facility in Singapore, will be blended with conventional jet fuel to supply DHL’s fleet of five Boeing 777 freighters. The SAF will account for approximately 35% to 40% of the fuel composition for these aircraft. This initiative marks DHL’s first direct procurement of SAF specifically for international flights departing from Singapore.
Christopher Ong, Managing Director for DHL Express Singapore, stated that the partnership supports the company's commitment to reducing transport emissions and meeting customer demand for sustainable logistics options. Neste’s Senior Vice President of Renewable Products, Carl Nyberg, noted that the deal utilizes the company’s local production capabilities to assist DHL in reaching its decarbonization goals.
The agreement aligns with Singapore’s upcoming aviation regulations, which mandate a 1% SAF usage target for all passenger and cargo flights starting in 2026.
