Nestlé Deutschland AG has formalized a new cooperation agreement with Berufsgenossenschaft Nahrungsmittel und Gastgewerbe (BGN), the German statutory accident insurance institution for the food and hospitality industry. This partnership aims to strengthen efforts in workplace safety and health protection, guided by BGN's "VISION ZERO" strategy, which seeks to eliminate occupational accidents.

Company representatives highlighted the commitment to learning and sharing knowledge. Fabrice Johan, Nestlé Germany's Technology Director, stated the goal is to establish a world without workplace accidents through shared insights. Guillaume Frayisse, Head of Engineering and Safety at Nestlé Germany, emphasized the need for a cultural shift in safety attitudes, noting progress with the company's "Behavior Based Safety (BBS)" approach.

BGN provides extensive support, including workshops, to companies implementing safety initiatives like BBS. Jörg Bergmann, Head of BGN's Safety Department, expressed hope that more companies will adopt the "VISION ZERO" philosophy. BGN, based in Mannheim, insures approximately 3.8 million employees across various food, beverage, and hospitality sectors in Germany.

Nestlé Deutschland AG is part of the global food and beverage company Nestlé, employing around 6,700 people at 18 locations in Germany. Globally, Nestlé operates in 188 countries with 270,000 employees, offering a wide range of products and services under over 2,000 brands.
