NetEase Adds Selfie Mode and AI NPC Features to Ni Shui Han

NetEase will introduce a new selfie mode to its title Ni Shui Han: New World alongside the “Miao Jiang Gu Shi” expansion, scheduled for release on October 30. This feature aims to provide players with more granular control over character posing, camera angles, and gaze direction during gameplay screenshots.

The update also expands the role of non-player characters (NPCs) through a revamped guest system. Players will be able to recruit AI-driven characters as temporary companions, who are designed to interact with the new selfie mode and pose for group photos alongside the player.

In addition to these features, the developer is refining the game’s internal social and content-sharing tools. These updates are part of an ongoing effort to enhance the social experience within the platform. Future iterations are expected to include expanded camera functionality, such as taking photos while mounted on in-game creatures.
