NetEase Opens Pre-orders for "Ghost Shadow", New "Search, Fight, Retreat" Game
NetEase's Leihuo Studio has opened pre-orders for its new game, "Ghost Shadow: Blade Concealed". The title, described as the first "search, fight, retreat" game based on Chinese folklore, will begin a closed test on August 7.
Chinese technology firm NetEase has opened pre-orders for its upcoming game, "Ghost Shadow: Blade Concealed" (诡影藏锋). Developed by Leihuo Studio, the title is positioned as a first-person "search, fight, retreat" experience set within a world inspired by Chinese folklore.
The game challenges players to explore an eerie, mythological environment, searching for treasures, solving puzzles, and confronting supernatural entities. The objective is to find an escape route before a time limit expires. A closed, data-wiping test phase is scheduled to commence on August 7 and will run for four days, concluding on August 10.
Recruitment for this testing phase concluded earlier in July, with selected participants to be notified individually. The test will feature both Player versus Player (PvP) and Player versus Environment (PvE) game modes. The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and supports various multiplayer configurations.
"Ghost Shadow: Blade Concealed" is available on Steam for wishlisting, with adding the game to a wishlist granting players an exclusive in-game cosmetic item.
