NetEase's "Ni Shui Han: New World" to Receive Major Mid-Season Update

NetEase's online game "Ni Shui Han: New World" will receive its first major mid-season update on August 28, according to reports from IT Home. The update, version 4.1.3, promises to bring a substantial amount of new content to the game.

Key additions include a new map, "Lancang Village," featuring a tropical rainforest environment and new high-altitude gameplay. A new farming system will allow players to cultivate pineapples and other exotic fruits, offering a way to earn the in-game currency "Jiaozi." The update also introduces a new pet collection system with "blind box"-like mechanics and themed "sun-tanned" pets.

Improvements are also being made to the acquisition of the crucial "Jiaozi" currency, with more channels and increased efficiency. The game's main storyline will continue with the release of "The Cangshan Wind and Rain Dark - Middle," the third installment of the series.

Furthermore, the update includes the "Sword Shadow Cup" S4, the game's first platform competition. Players can also expect login rewards and benefits, including increased "Jiaozi" earnings from various activities and special item vouchers, during a promotional period following the update's release.
