Netflix Co-CEO Identifies Growth Pace as Major Concern
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos stated that the company's growth is not advancing as rapidly as he desires. Netflix is actively seeking to accelerate its growth through increased investments in new areas.

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has identified the pace of the company's growth as a significant concern. Despite remaining the world's largest streaming service, Sarandos indicated that the current growth trajectory is not meeting his expectations.
"Overall, we're not growing as fast as I want us to," Sarandos said at a Bloomberg conference in Los Angeles this week. He acknowledged that certain company initiatives might be creating headwinds to overall growth.
Sarandos revealed that Netflix's global engagement increased by only 2% in the most recent reporting period, even as revenue continued to grow at double-digit rates across all regions. This suggests a challenge in user activity despite financial gains.
To reinvigorate growth, Netflix is increasing its investment in areas beyond its traditional on-demand scripted content. The company is pushing into live entertainment, including sports, wrestling, and comedy events, aiming to attract new subscribers and retain existing ones.
