Netflix to Produce Live-Action Dungeons & Dragons 'Ravenloft' Series

Netflix is developing a new live-action series based on the popular Ravenloft campaign setting from Dungeons & Dragons. The project is being executive produced by Alfonso Cuarón and John August, with Hasbro Entertainment overseeing production.

The series is expected to delve into the origins of Strahd von Zarovich, a notorious vampire lord, charting his story of power, love, obsession, and his transformation into an undead entity. Ravenloft is known as one of Dungeons & Dragons' most enduring and gothic horror settings.

A recent update to the Ravenloft lore, titled Ravenloft: The Horrors Within, was released earlier this year, continuing the narrative of the character and his domain. The series aims to bring this dark fantasy world to a new audience through the streaming platform.
