New $9 key physically locks addictive phone apps

New York, NY – In late July 2026, Autonomous launched a budget-friendly solution for digital distraction management: the Autonomous Key, an NFC key priced at $9. This device aims to reduce excessive smartphone use by requiring users to physically scan the key to regain access to blocked applications.

Traditional screen-time apps often rely on the user's willpower, setting timers or displaying reminders. The Autonomous Key operates on a different principle.
